SUMMARY:NWCX League Round 1: Mold Alun School  7th October 2018
DESCRIPTION:Round 1 of the 2018/19 North Wales Cyclocross League: Mold Alun School (sponsored by The Bike Factory\, Chester)\nSunday 7th October 2018\n\n\n\n \n\nWe are the guests of Mold Alun School. This  is traditionally the first race of the 2018 NWCX League. This  usually  fast flowing course  sweeps over playing fields and woodland single track. It is  a fast paced start to the new season but has the potential to be muddy if it rains prior.\n\nParking instructions: Avoid the Leisure Centre buildings. Instead stay left of the school buildings and drive to the rear of the campus. Park on the tarmac beneath the grass banking. Competitors are asked not to drive up the access road to Trebeirdd Farm Reclamation Yard as this blocks customer access and generates complaints.\n\nPlease come early for the first race.   Race HQ gazebo will be  erected on the football field approximately 200metres above the car park. This can be reached by bike or on foot. Most spectators will assemble on the upper playing field to watch the race start.\n\nFor 2018 NWCX is requiring 100% online entries with Nifty  except for the Novice childrens's race and the Novice adults' race.  These beginners' races can be entered on the day.  All other races\, whether Junior\, Youth or Senior\,  will be Nifty entry online.   This ruling is to provide HQ adequate time to issue timing chips\, a new feature for 2018.\n\nIt is intended that  chip timing will improve scoring for competitors and reduce burdens on volunteers.\n\nTimings:\n10:00 -11:30 Registration. There will be no registration after 1130.\n\n11:00 Novice Children -( 10mins ) £2 (entry on the day)\n\n11.20 Race#1:U8s\, U10s\, U12s   ( 20mins ) £3 Nifty Online Only\n\n12:00  Race#2:  U14s\, U16s\,  ( 30mins )  £5 Nifty Online Only    + Adult beginners £5 (entry on the day)\n\n13.15 Race #3: Senior race (M/F\, Vets\, U18s)   60mins   U18 £8 Nifty Online Only\, All Seniors  £14 Nifty Online Only\n\n(Vets will be classified V40\, V50\,  V60+ subject to participant numbers )\n\nWarning: The first races of the year are busy so please arrive early to collect your number.\n\nNewcomers regardless of age\, gender or ability are welcome. You can race on a cyclocross bike or a mountain bike. You can try the beginners race for 30mins.\n\nParents:  children enjoy cyclocross. If unsure don't be afraid to ask. We make it easy for children\, especially newcomers. Most of our beginners make rapid progress.\n\nCompetitors retain numbers. This stays with you for all season so keep it safe between races. Replacement numbers will be charged at £3 per set.\n\nCompetitors are to hand back their race chips at the finish.
