DESCRIPTION:NWCX League Round 9: Minera Lead Mines – Pyllau Plwm y Mwynglawdd 6th January 2018\n\nMinera Lead Mines\, Minera\, Wrexham\, LL11 3DU\n(sponsored by The Bike Factory\, Chester)\n\n6 January 2018\n\n\n\n \n\nNWCX visits the historic former lead mines host to centuries of lead\, zinc and lime production. Active in Roman times\, in the medieval era and for the whole duration of the Industrial Revolution as the Minera Mining Company this park is steeped in industrial heritage. It is nowadays reclaimed  by mother nature and  has a bit of everything required to ensure that you have the full cyclocross experience and a good night’s sleep afterwards.\n\nThis will be the 7th edition of the Minera Lead Mines Cyclocross race on the hills above Wrexham.   Parking and toilet facilities are available on site. Please note that this country park is open to the public and we rely on the good will of Wrexham County Borough Council\, so please be mindful of other users.\n\nSign on will take place at the Race HQ gazebo erected next to the museum above the car park.\n\nThe adult race will be a line mass start on the open field following the  last three editions. Depending on numbers\, the children will start on the road leading up to the HQ area.\n\nRACE TIMES:\nAll U16 cats and adult fun sign-on / collect nos. 10.00 - 10.45\nU12 Fun race (non-technical): 11.00 - 11.15\nU8/U10/U12 race: 11.30 - 11.50\nU14 / U16 & adult fun race: 12.00 - 12.30\nWE DO NOT WANT ANY U18 / ADULT RACERS ON SITE BEFORE 12.30 (UNLESS THEY HAVE KIDS IN THE CHILDREN'S RACES).\nThis will allow riders from the children races to leave\, releasing car parking spaces. Please can families racing in children's races leave site asap after their race.\nU18 / Adult course preview 12.45 - 1.15 (you will not be allowed to ride the course any earlier)\nU18 & Adults RACE: 1.30 - 2.30.\nAdults with nos. need only turn up i.e. no sign on (but you must have a pre-paid entry of course)\nAdults without nos. collect between 12.30 – 12.45.\n\nYOUR CO-OPERATION:\n1. Please car share if possible\n2. Park where directed (this will include the lane by HK Motors and some limited parking on the New Brighton road).\n3. Observe the timings above\n4. Children racers leave the site as soon as possible to make space for adults\n5. If you cannot attend please withdraw (with full refund) and let someone else have your place - asap please!\n\nWith your help\,  we can manage the restricted parking\, nearly meet demand and host another successful race in this historic country park.\n\nBRING YOUR RACE NUMBERS.
