DESCRIPTION:Round 5 of the 2023/24 North Wales Cyclocross League: RHYL MARSH TRACKS  LL18 2AD\n\nSunday 12 November 2023\n\nCHANGE OF VENUE NOW MARSH TRACKS RHYL   DUE FLOOD AT EIRIAS PARK\n\nNWCX welcomes competitors to Parc Eirias (Erias Park) in Old Colwyn.  Eirias Park  was built in the 1920s and retains its quintessential charm a century later.  Originally called  "The Park by the Sea\,” it nowadays  hosts RCG Rugby Teams and Academy\, hosts  rugby internationals and championship athletics. It continues to undergo major investment with construction of extensive new 3G football areas.\n\nThis mainly grassy course takes in rolling parkland\, mature woodland  and even a small brook in heavy rain. There is extensive dirt track in the woodland area.\n\nParking instructions: Follow "Cycle Event" signs and park in the car park in front of the stadium.\n\nChildren & Senior Leagues-Mandatory online entry  www.niftyentries.com\n\nChildren Beginners (£2 cash on the day)  & Adult  Novice (beginners) (£10 cash on the day)\n\nTimings\n\n09:00 -11:30 Registration. You can try the beginners race for 30mins.\n\n(Vets will be classified V40\, V50\,  V60\, V70+ subject to participant numbers)\n\nParents:  children are made very welcome at cyclocross races. If unsure  don't be afraid to ask at HQ. The North Wales series prioritises racing for children with most beginners making rapid progress.\n\nSingle frameset rule: to limit costs and entry barriers NWCX operates a single frameset rule. You must use the bike you start with. No spare bikes permitted once race underway.\n\nKnobbly tyres rule: cyclocross takes place on grass\, mud and gravel surfaces. It is essential for competitor safety that competitors fit knobbly tyres. Riders with smooth tyres will be asked to discontinue. This applies equally to children.\n\nCompetitors retain race numbers. Numbers are issued to competitors at their first registration.  Riders are instructed to retain and re-use their  number all season to simplify registration. Please keep your number safe between races. Replacement numbers will be charged  £5 per set.\n\nReturn of timing chips. Competitors  hand back their race chips at the finish.
