DESCRIPTION:NWCX League PRIZE GIVING preceded by non-championship fun race programme.    Racing @  Ysgol Bro Alun\, Gwersyllt WREXHAM  LL11 4NG   (near Alyn Waters Country Park)\n\nAnd afterwards\,   PRIZEGIVING from 1300hrs @\n\n\n\nVenue in the Park (Café) \, Alyn Waters Country Park   LL11 4AG\n\nSunday 1st March  2026\nNWCX welcomes all competitors and friends to Ysgol Bro Alun and Alyn Waters Country Park for THE 2025-26 LEAGUE PRIZEGIVING CEREMONY. \nAs is customary\, there will be a compressed race programme Sunday morning  in Alyn Waters Country Park and on the playing field of  Ysgol Bro Alun.  Race timings are earlier than normal to allow prize giving to commence promptly.\nSign-on will take place on the school playing field.\nParking. There is ample parking in the School Car Park.  For competitors parking at the roadside: please ensure child safety at all times. Parents are to avoid their children riding until within the safety perimeter of the compound.\nPlease treat all facilities with respect.\nFor all official League scoring  categories\, online entry in advance is mandatory via    www.niftyentries.com\n\nAge categories (junior & senior) will be determined by riders’ age on 1st January 2025.\n\nWe regret as part of the streamlined programme there will be no Childrens' Fun Race.  However\, children are encouraged to try their hand in Race 1 (except for the very youngest)\n\n10:30 Race 1 - duration 25 mins (www.niftyentries.com)\n\n \tBoys and Girls - Under 12s\, Under 10s & Under 8s\n \tOnline NIFTY entry only -£3 (+£1 admin fee)\n\n11:00  - Race 2 - duration 35 mins +1lap\n\n \tUnder 14s & Under 16s (Male & Famale) - NIFTY -£5 (+£1 admin fee)\n \tUnder 18 Female NIFTY -£5 (+£1 admin fee)\n \tAll female categories incl.  Female 18-39 (F)\, Vet 40 (F)\, Vet 50 (F)\, Vet 60 (F) & Vet 70 (F) - NIFTY £12 (+£1 admin fee)\n \tMale Vets 60+ & Male Vets 70+ NIFTY £12 (+£1 admin fee)\n \tFun race category - open to anyone over 12\, no race timings or positions - £7 entry on the day\n \tStudent Rate £7 entry on the day (applies to students aged under 22 attending Wrexham Glyn Dwr University\, Bangor University or University of Chester plus students of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai & Coleg Cambria)\n \tFemale League categories are open to female competitors only\n\n11:50 Race 3 OPEN duration 40 mins+1lap\n\n \tUnder 18 Males NIFTY £5 (+£1 admin fee)\n \tSenior Males: Open 18-39\, Male Vet 40 & Male Vet 50\, NIFTY £15 (+£1 admin fee)\n \tStudent Rate £7 entry on the day (applies to students aged under 22 attending Wrexham Glyn Dwr University\, Bangor University or University of Chester   PLUS students of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai & Coleg Cambria)\n \tFemale competitors have the option to enter in the Open race on the basis that their results will not count towards female junior & female senior league rankings\n\nChildren will convene at the Venue in the Park for 12midday (buffet lunch for League children).   Adults will help pack away the course then gather at the Venue for 1pm.  Award Ceremony to commence ASAP\n \n\n \t\nRACE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 1130 PROMPT\n\n\nNWCX welcomes ALL riders regardless of age\, gender or ability.  NWCX expects respect and good manners at all times.   You can race on a cyclocross\, gravel or mountain bike. You can try the beginners race for 30mins.\n\nNew riders are made very welcome. If unsure\, don't be afraid to ask at HQ. The North Wales series prioritises racing for children with most making rapid progress over the course of a season.\n\nSingle frameset rule: to limit costs and entry barriers NWCX operates a single frameset rule. You must use the bike you start with. No spare bikes are permitted once the race is underway.\n\nKnobbly tyres rule: cyclocross takes place on grass\, mud and gravel surfaces. It is essential for competitor safety that knobbly tyres are fitted. Riders with inappropriate tyres will be asked to withdraw on safety grounds. This applies equally to children.\n\nCompetitors retain race numbers for their body and handlebars. Numbers are issued to competitors at initial registration.  Riders are instructed to retain and re-use their numbers all season therefore simplifying registration. Please keep your number safe between races. Replacement numbers will be charged £5 per set.\n\nReturn of timing chips. Competitors hand back their race chips at the finish. Each chip cost NWCX £44+vat.  You will be billed if you fail to return your chip immediately post-race.\n\n
