North Wales Cyclocross August Bank Holiday Pre-season charitable warm-up. Denbigh Cae Dai Trust LL16 4SU
North Wales Cyclocross is hosting a pre-season Bank Holiday Monday CX race at the delightful Cai Dai Estate, near Denbigh. For those who have visited previously this estate houses the Museum of the 1950s and a country estate situated in a steep sided valley featuring woodlands, hilly meadows and a stream. This is just about rideable by the intrepid. Competitors can expect to get their ankles wet but are unlikely to encounter spate conditions in late August. On the other hand, in North Wales, only fools assume dry weather.
This is a pre-season friendly to test scoring equipment, shake down bikes for the coming season and to raise funds for regional childrens’ hospices: (1) Tŷ Gobaith @ Groesynydd nr Conwy and (2) Hope House Hospices @ Conwy & Oswestry
Single frameset rules apply. Bring one bike only. Spare wheels are permissible. No pressure washers please.
Parent & child parking (On-site at Cae Dai)
Children and parents are to park at Cae Dai. Child safety is our absolute priority in NWCX and grown-ups are required to park elsewhere because of limited capacity. Alternative parking is provided for adults, see below. Elderly and disabled visitors are, of course, welcome to park at Cae Dai.
Grown Ups Parking (Off-site at Council Offices LL16 3RJ)
Adult competitors please park at Denbighshire Council Offices, Smithfield Rd, LL16 3RJ. You can ride 50oyards to Cae Dai. Signage will be provided. Parking space is limited at the Museum. We need our adult competitors to park off-site so that children can operate off-highway. Your co-operation is appreciated
