Round 10 – Moss Valley Country Park 

Round 10 of the 2017/18 North Wales Cyclo-cross League: Moss Valley Country Park, LL11 6HA (sponsored by The Bike Factory, Chester)

Fibrax Wrexham Roads Club invites NWCX competitors to race at Moss Valley County Park.

Known locally as “The Moss” or “The Aggey” this beautiful park is located midway between the communities of Gwersyllt & Broughton, three miles north of Wrexham. It is a vee shaped valley with wooded sides, two small lakes and extensive open grassland featuring gentle (and not so gentle) undulation. The course will be fast and furious with punchy climbs over grassy mounds.

Important: Parking is 500metres from the entrance to Moss Valley Golf Club LL11 6HA. NWCX cars are barred from parking at the Golf Club. Proceed to Moss Valley Car Park located at the bottom of the hill on Poolmouth Road. Signs will direct cars from the Golf Club entrance.

Sign on will take adjacent to the Golf Club.

Refreshments (tea, coffee, cold drinks and breakfast baps) will be available in the Club House from 1030am. TBC

Male and Female WCs are located in the Golf complex.  Please respect our hosts.

Timings:

10 -10:45 Race 1&2 number pick up and fun race registration.
11:00 – Kids fun race
11:20 Race 1: U12/U10/U8 Entry Fee (£2 online or £5 on the day)
11:50 Race 2: U16/U14/ Adult novice/fun (£4 online or £7 on the day)
12:30 – 13:00 Race 3 number pick up (£4 online or £7 on the day)
13:15 Race 3: Juniors & Adults (Nifty online entries only, no payment on day)
14:30 – all hands to the deck to help take the course down please

NO riding on the course whilst other classes are racing
Race 1 & 2 can pre-ride 10-10:30
Race 3 can pre-ride 12:30 – 13:00

(Vets will be classified V40,V50, V60+ subject to participant numbers, Male & Female)
Newcomers regardless of age, gender or ability are welcome. As usual you can race on a cyclo X bike or MTB.

Children: come and try our fun race. Parents: if unsure, please ask at HQ and one of the team will provide advice.

All competitors retain your race numbers for the season.
